#7632 - RE: rev-counter |
Hi Jay,
I appreciate that your guidelines make rich engineers and not just the engineers. (a reference from some very old postings) But, I have a question for you regarding your approach of using spread sheet methods. The hardware resources are limited, the hardware and choice of micro by a great measure depends on the approach as well as the length of the code. Suppose my code is just below 2k binary (fit for 2051) using some methamatical formula to calculate the speed or rpm. By using lookup tables the code just goes beyond 2k that forces me to now use 4051 (much costlier than 2051) Will it not escalate the real estate in my application and ultimately the production cost...... Just a thought :? Simon |
