#76758 - RE: Multitasking with no traps Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Oleg,
I have had NO applications of the hundereds I have made where a timing was required. I did, however dabble in something like that till I came up with the 'soft interrupt' which used to be done by7 a TF, but with the newer chips you have so many that you will always find some int generating bit other than the timers that you do not use. I have not done this (yet), but with the chips with 10+ int sources I can visualize multiple 'soft interrupts'. I got the idea from working with the Philips XA that has 8 designated soft interrupts.
