However be carefully, some old parts are signed as ISP but is not done in the serial uart, it is done trough the spi port wich is a bit more dificult
SPI port ISP offered by ATMEL is not difficult at all it is as easy as UART type ISP offered by some of PHILIPS and ATMEL derivatives. If you are having troubles getting a ISP programmer for ATMEL's SPI port programmable micros.
