#77314 - RE: LCD out of harm\'s way (EMC)? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Russell,
Thanks for replying. I'm not bothered about the cosmetic effect of the LCD being set back from the window - I've already done this with a VFD on a parking terminal to get the thing in the shade! Current project is in an office environment. I just want to avoid having 16 Murata filters on the LCD! Re the cable between the boards : both ends are/will be filtered (the guy doing my layouts has good industrial experience). Re LCD signal noise : I would think that the device already makes quite a racket, with its oscillator! The bus its on gets used at 8 Hz (keypad scanning), & whenever the LCD needs updating - its not your regular data bus. I'll post again when we have been thru the EMC testing! Regards, Richard |
