Hi Jez,
This is an interesting point, and frankly one that I had never thought about. If the transfer is a thermal process, then there must be some dimensional shifting, either expansion or contraction, of the media. So the questions then are "How much," and "Is it consistent enough to be improved by compensation?" Still, I rather expect that most boards being made at home aren't of such fine detail that it would matter. |
