I wrote my own RTOS though I call it my background tasker. It was great fun and works beautifully. Dispite my first impression of the 8051 opcode set, it is extremely efficient and concise once I learned to exploit the indirect addressing schemes.

Its structure makes it quite easy to do prototcols like IrDA which I'm going to start in about one month or so.
