I think you misinterpreted this part of the document.
Serial data parameters: 1200bps, 7 databits, 1 stop-bit You took it as there is no stop bit. There is always only one start bit, it can not be two (just like stop bit). Thats why the author did not mention it. He mentioned just those parameters which are usually variable in serial transmission. And the diagram also clearly shows the start bit (as already pointed out by Robert). |
