But I'm not talking about "forum software" - we just text , with occasional picture attachments. What about a private "usenet" news-server. A news reader app can then thread it all, ignore bits, kill bits, watch bits whatever. I guess it could be done that way but I personally haven't used newsgroups in years. I'm sure there are many others that don't use newsgroups either and everyone would have to install newsgroup reader programs, it wouldn't be linked to the home pages nor the code library that I am going to be working on. It's just not the level of integration I'm looking for and I think there are quite a few people that wouldn't bother to install newsgroup software. I might be one of them. :) Regards, Craig Steiner |
