#79329 - Pb free micro controller |
Hi all,
Dont know if this is an off topic or not, but searching the message board don't see anything related to this issue, so I'm bringing it on for those who's not informed, surely many people've already known about this, if so what's you going to do to make your boards/products... compliance with the law? IMHO, at least these two things need to be done: 1) Find an alternate source for your current controller as well as others components on the board those have lead free. 2) PCB, solder/assemble with PB free. You can find lot of info on the net about this issue, here is an example http://www.reed-electronics.com/semicondu...tryid=3026 I believe Europe and some US states already signed, and the dead line is sometime next year, for those whose products go to India/somewhere else this may not a problem. |
