Dear Abhishek,

I like your enthusiasm and the idea to use the functionality of the joy stick for a function for which it was never inetended. Nothing wrong in it per se. But the following things are also to be noted :

- A very unconventional solution and the longevity of this joy stick is a big question mark. These kids stuff are real dynamic and maybe even next year the current one will be replaced by a variant. And some of these game "joysticks" are really not analog stuff - they are just digital switches organised in a quadrant pattern. ( I am not sure about the specific one that you are using )

- The protocol - believe me, it is next to impossible to get at these in such customized gizmos. It really is not worth the trouble and the savings if any that you are targeting.

- If you are promoting such a solution as a commercial proposition then watch out the warranty stuff.

Marrying a consumer or a game unit component to an industrial application is full of pitfalls and traps - watch out. The domains just don't match.
