#79597 - RE: Possible suggestion Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Thanks Craig and kai for the prompt replies!
i used LS chips. i also tried giving direct conncetions from the parallel port to the at89 with 100 ohm resistors on the 3 spi pins .. but it dint help i have noted one thing that my computers parallel port is giving 3.3V for logic HIGh and the reset signal is not going through any buffer .. so the at89 is getting 3.3 V at its reset pin.. could this be the problem? Moreover when i do not plug the programmer to the at89 i get 5V on the line which is supposed to goto SCK pin of the at89.. but when i plug the programmer to the at89 and measure the voltage across the SCk (pin 8 of hte at89) and GND i get around 2.9V . does that by anychance mean that i have spoiled the at89 by any chance??
