the thing worked fine when these capacitors were removed now can someone tell me why this happened? Make no mistake, Vishal, these capacitors arround quartz, called 'burden capacitors' ARE NEEDED IN ANY CASE! If you omit them, you will also run into problems, believe me! Very probably it happened to you what Michael already mentioned, that you had the wrong or damaged capacitors mounted. Please take two new burden capacitors of 27pF...33pF for the oscillator and do never neglect them!! Kai |
