Often I see, whenever some people awaiting the elevator and a woman arrived, she pressed also the downward button.

The reaction of the elevator: open, close, open the door a second time.
Naturally no woman press then the basement button inside the elevator.

So it seems also a real challenge to make an elevator women proved :-)

P.S.:
This strange behavior was not pure woman related, about every tenth person was a man.
Also pressing an already bright button was mostly be done by women.
