Erik, I like SiLabs and their products. But the point is that we still use some Atmel products here and even not a Dev.Board is the matter. As I know, some of these boards come with huge software addition. For example, they include libraries/routines for FAT-16, MMC, SmartCards, USB, MP3 etc. I think it is not a big payment to obtain it all in one package. At least, time costs money too, you know...
