hi,
It depends on their placement. If both chips are placed at one board or at two closed boards with one and the same power supply and common groud then it should not be a problem to connect them directly. Otherwise you should use some buffer/protection ICs (7407, RS-485 drivers, optocouplers, etc) depends on distantion, baudrate and power conditions. Regards, Oleg |
