Andy you are right .
But i am Testing the board and physical connections.The software is already written.I just has to make the board working.Since the chip is 8051 derivative i did the prelimenary tests like checking vcc and gnd on the respective pins of the chip.The crystal is also working when i tested on the scope.

Checked reset it is also fine.I am using the cypress control manager to detect the chip.I just want the software to detect the chip.Can you tell me any other hardware debugging techniques for this chip.
