I have ported the BASIC52 into the Atmel/Temic 89C51RD2.
Needs no EPROM and external RAM (if 1k/1.75k RAM (minus 512B for BASIC) is enough for data). A basic board would contain only the mcu, a RS232 converter and some power/reset stuff. I don't know the details for the Elektor board, but simple '51 development boards are usually available from many sources. Are you interested? Jan Waclawek |
