Since you already have I2C implemented, a pair of PCF8576 will make reading the thumbwheels easier
Raghu, The above should be a no brainer, If the "reaction time" to a changed thumbwheel setting (haven't seen this for a while) is delayed a few (hundered) milliseconds, so what. Erik I meant the DAC update rate, not thumbwheels. If part of a control loop, a serial DAC may not be fast enough. Currently Microchip is selling in India the MCP4921 a 12 bit serial DAC for quite a reasonable price. |
