Yes, you're right. I also plan on implementing a "Profile" section for Registered Members. This will allow the user to provide additional (optional) information that other users will be able to see if they click on "Profile" after the user name. This could include their home page, hobbies, etc. Their homepage could have the MAILTO: tag *IF* they wished or even a FORMS construct to hide their email address. Definitely. I was already thinking of providing some kind of method to allow users to hide their email address from spammers at the very least. I.e., it wouldn't be available in the messages--you'd have to click a form-based button to display the email address. I don't think spammer email harvesters are smart enough to go through forms--so that'd save us from spammers harvesting on the message forum. It wouldn't have saved you, though, from someone who was in contact with you and later decided to spam you with jokes. I hate it when that happens. Craig Steiner |
