#84848 - My laptop hard drive Responding to: ???'s previous message |

I've heard mixed things about the logic voltage for a laptop hard drive. I've heard 3V and 5V. I don't have a datasheet for a laptop hard drive, but reaching into my parts cabinet two of the three laptop hard drives I find have "5V" stamped on the sticker--one is a 6GB Fujitsu and the other is a 20GB IBM. I'm betting the third drive would also mention 5V but the data sticker is covered with some other sticker which makes it impossible to know. Regards, Craig Steiner |
