First, I want to mention a new feature that has been added to the "Account Profile." Once you've logged on, you may view and edit your profile.

A new feature allows you to specify the auto-logout time. This was previously one hour which means if you didn't do anything with 8052.com you were automatically logged out. You may now specify the amount of time after which you wish to be auto-logged out. Specifying "0" minutes will cause you to NEVER be logged out automatically.

As for HTML, I think we've all had an opportunity to see what it is capable of within our posts. Since the HTML test thread got rather long and it wouldn't have been useful to include those messages in the mailing list nor did it have any long-term value, the thread has been deleted.

The following policy applies to all HTML posts from this point forward:

1. Use HTML only to assist in making your post effective. This includes linking to an external site (A HREF) or including an image/diagram within your post using IMG SRC. Other HTML tags (fonts, boldface, etc.) should be used very sparingly, please.

2. Users who demonstrate a tendency to use excessive HMTL unnecessarily will have this privledge revoked.

The following policy applies to posts in general:

1. Before posting a message, *PLEASE* use the Search function. Most questions have already been answered and you will have the answer in a matter of seconds if you just search first.

2. You are welcome to post your questions, but if you have been assigned a homework problem at your school or university, please don't post your assignment for us to solve. Any thread which is obviously a homework assignment will be closed. If you are a student, think about your project and try to solve it. If you have a question about a specific PART of the project, by all means post your question so we may try to help.

3. Please allow the moderators (Craig Steiner, Steve Taylor) to perform the moderator functions. It will be our job to let others know that they should use the search function, etc.
