I use the computed LCALL concept all the time. It makes it possible to make assembly code more modular and it makes it possible to use the target code paths from multiple places in
one program. As a matter of fact the code for the state machine tutorial that I posted here a long while back for Waquar has the indirect call function in it!! See the code here: State Machine Code with Indirect Call Table Support ...look at the routine at the very end of the listing named CALL_TABLE. Michael Karas |
