I worked on the Orbitel CAI (Common Air-Interface) CT2/Telepoint products. Unfortunately, by the time the CAI standard was defined and products became available, the crash of the proprietary systems (Rabbit et al) had pretty much killed the market. :-( Telepoint couldn't compete with the cellular operators effectively giving handsets away! :-( That was all over 10 years ago now. DECT was being defined then - and it's only recently that it's really started catching on! |
