I think the idea is to transfer the image data over the USB link, so there would be no need for X-Modem?
Maybe the Cypress USB support can directly write to an external Flash? Or perhaps the Cypress USB support can write to the external RAM, and the Flash programming algorithm has to be implemented in the 8051? I don't know - you'd need to dig into the Cypress Documentation, and rummage around their support site. |
