While the PC817 is rather slow and yes, its speed varies with the load (and VCE); I would never use it for explicit noise supression. trise/tfall maximum is guaranteed, not minimum => "low pass" property is not guaranteed.
Further, RF noise gets "through" the optocoupler thanks to quite significant capacitive coupling. Use proper noise rejection techniques - snubbers, transils/transorbs, filters, ferrite beads etc. Jan Waclawek |
