The question which you posted is MY question.
The datasheet do not answer this question.

Actually, the datasheet seems pretty clear to me:

VIHmin = 1.95V - the minimun input voltage that will be recognised as a logic 'High';
VIHmax = 3.3V - the maximun input voltage allowed as a logic 'High';

VOHmin = 2.35V - the minimun output voltage for a logic 'High';
VOHmax = 2.73V - the maximun output voltage for a logic 'High';

Section 6.1.4, on p45, says, "E.g. in order to provide RS232 compatible levels use the 3 V compatible MAX3232 transceiver from Maxim"
