I am sure that what James intends to do is to measure the temperature of the 89C51 that he has built into something. A non-contact method is less disturbing to the measurement as the probe does not act as a heat sink. For this reason there is certainly no need for him to use such microcontroller type in the design of the temperature measuring device he is playing with. Michael Karas |
