I have already reported this problem to Creig. The LCD tutorial won't work as described. The site tells you to report any errors posted when found. I did, many months ago but it never got fixed and I have seen several users having the same problems with this part of the tutorial. Creig, I have no doubt it may have worked for you many moons ago, but if you try it as documented in the tutorial, you will see the error for yourself. Just follow your own LCD communication rules written as documented in the tutorial and you will find the error. You did not follow the rules as you posted in your own tutorial. A tutorial is a learning tool newbies depend on and must be considered as gospel. If it has errors, it will waste many, many hours in troubleshooting the problem since the tutorial is taken as FACT ......... the BIBLE for this subject! For a site this good, I'm surprised you will not correct the problem to your BIBLE, since if you follow your own rules on this subject the answer to this problem is obvious. But like most newbies, I too followed the tutorial garden path to bewilderment.
IS THE BIBLE WRONG? ................................. NEVER!
