#88458 - LCD hardware problem?
Currently I am frustrated dealing with LCD. I solder the LCD pins. I am not sure whether because of over heat, the LCD became malfunction.

I have tried and tried, Mehdi's program, else where, refer books, many examples as well.

1.May I know which free simulator can use for LCD simulation?

That would be satisfy enough for me to finish my simulation but not experiment, because, have to say sorry guys, I am rushing this for graduation project.

Felt hopeless regarding LCD now. I think in terms of hardware it is too sensitive since it was built with Mcu also.

2.Any Expert do Soldering for LCD 20X2 before? can This spoilt it? According to datasheet, soldering can only be made to I/O pins. Is this meaning only Pin 7-14 can be solder but not others?

3. Most of the LCD require the LCD holder and connector?

4. What is the most basic, simplest test for LCD?

Well I believe Question 4 is not ez. Since the only way to test LCD is by initialize it. Although I can execute via external memory for other function such as keypad, but only this LCD is so difficult, no reponse at all. MY LCD code was published at thread before.

Thanks,
From LCD idiot
