Hey Ian...
Right, I was definitely going to go back and add them later. I probably should have just bit the bullet and written them before I asked for comments. That was sort of the point of the separate outline of procedure definitions, but I definitely intend to flesh them out and inline them. There's a few last things I definitely need to do before I'm ready to release it. 1. There should be a delay at the beginning before it announces itself to the PC. 2. There should be a soft reset routine to call when the PC requests a reset. 3. It currently doesn't recognize Print Screen or Pause keystrokes from the attached keyboard. 4. It also doesn't pass thru any "extended" keys, like the specialized internet or media buttons of some keyboards. Can't tell if that's a bug or a feature, though. ;-) Does anyone know offhand if there are standards for those keys, or does every manufacturer just do whatever they like? 5. Some more error handling. Right now it just tends to drop or ignore errors, when it should probably request resends where possible. I spent a whole lot of time working on this, but I think I learned a lot doing it. -Rich |
