#89589 - Very basic question on ports |
Hi lads
Im sorry to have to ask a basic question, i've been in the tutorials, but cant get around my problem. I will be using the ports in a project im doing in college, at the moment im just trying to learn how to get the ports to work. I am trying to use port 1 as digital inputs, and when i get a high on p1.0, i want to trigger a simple bit of code to move a value in internal ram to the acc. how do i reference what state the ports at in the code? i have been using ##jb p1.0,add1## so if p1.0 (90h) is set it will jump to add1, if its not set it moves to next instruction. but its just ignoring what state the port is at. Im thinking im missing something very simple but i cant put my finger on it. Any help would be great thanks Geoff |
