#90015 - A FlashMagic issue.. |
I had to visit a customer to carry out an upgrade, in a far off place, who was using a test rig supplied by me. The control of the machine was with a system built around P89V51RD2.
I had carried the FlashMagic (V2.07) on a CD-Rom copied from my hard disk. Went there, installed the FlashMagic on the client's PC ( WIN_XP) and tried using it. It simply refused to work and just stopped with the dialog box "Reset the MCU now to enter ISP ". After various troubleshooting steps (including a PC swap), simply downloaded the Flash Magic from the net and re-installed it. It worked at the first try. How is this possible ? If the copy on the CD-Rom was corrupt, then I sure must have got an error when the install was attempted ? Are there no checks in installation process that verify the integrity of the code being installed ? Would be glad to hear on this.. Thanks Raghu |
