Hi, I'm a college student looking to implement a samsung nand flash memory with the 8051. I want to use the internal rom for code space and use the external nand flash for data space. Has anyone done this before or know of links where I can get more information?

I'm confused on how to generate the invalid block table and how to connect the hardware. Would I use the /RD,/WR, and ALE pins on the 8051 directly to the nand flash? Can I simply use Port0 to issue the command, address, and data signals to the nand flash?

Any help would be appreciated,
