We will be interfacing the main controller with the USB controller (8051) (which has got upstream and down stream ports).The USB devices ( Keyboard ,USB Pen Memory etc) will be connected to the downstream port of the USB controller .
That require an USB master. Do not mistake "USB" as meaning "USB anything" most chips with USB are only USB slaves. There are no '51 derivatives that can function as USB master. Cypress has many chips capable of mastering and much "appnote software" for that. Erik |
