1) second line start to 0x40, not oc0h 0xC0 is correct. That's the 0x40 cursor position plus the "set position" command, which is 0x80. Vusi, you say that it doesn't write anything on the second line--but does the text you meant to write to the second line get written anywhere else on the LCD? As a general comment to everyone in the thread, I agree that the use of PRE tags would be nice. But, please, can we not turn every thread that has a non-PRE message into a discussion of PRE tags?
