#92277 - my grandma Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Not exactly biomedical and not very "cool", but perhaps worth a student project..
My grandma takes a lot of pills more times a day and sometimes she forgets, sometimes simply falls asleep... I was told, some of those pills are really dangerous for her not to take. So what about a pills timer, displaying the names of the pills and the dosage at the required time. As big display as possible, my grandma wears quite strong glasses. Not more than 2 big buttons, better only one. Some nice sound, not just a stupid piezobuzzer, I don't want my grandma to get a heart attack from this one. But loud enough, she is not hearing so good any more. Maybe some escalating sound? Running from batteries is a bonus. And somebody needs to adjust it for her. Be sure, nobody has a computer around, and setting it up using 2 buttons would be a pain, so you need to come up with something smart... Maybe a clue?: my grandma's son (my uncle) can manage a mobile phone... Or maybe using some barcode stuff? Jan Waclawek |
