Since Win98 (at least), it has been possible to run multiple monitors from 1 PC.
I routinely use 2 monitors, and 4 windows can easily be seen at once. You can see many windows at once, but you can only read one. Multiwindow is fine for dragging, but for actual use, only one works. E.g. try an ICE screen (which, in a way, is multiwindow) it becomes virtually useless the moment you make it less than the whole screen at 12xx * 1024. My point is taht every "screen creator" pack so much onto the screen that less than full monitor makes it useless. Now, of course, CTL/TAB is a whole lot better than having to start an app again and again. Erik |
