Which circuit depend on the configuration of the circuitry driving the xtal. I have seen (one only?) '51 derivative requiring your circuit 2, but that derivative is so nonstandard that you need to use the wrong pin for external oscillator input.
So Which oscillator circuit is best? : the one mentioned in the datasheet. Erik BTW you are not showing "oscillator circuits", that would require a pair of inverters, you are showing "external crystal connections". |
