#9331 - Message Board Purge Proposal |
I'm adding this to the existing thread just because it's administrative in nature, not because it's truly related to the previous topic...
What does everyone think of moderators going through the message forum and completely killing off threads that are older than, say, a month and contain no useful information? Occasionally someone posts a message or asks a question and there is no response. Or sometimes a thread contains replies but contains no real useful information worth keeping. I like to "file stuff away" for eternity, so I find it hard to press the delete key. But would everyone agree that, in the case of old threads with no worthwhile information, that the best think to do would be to delete them? I think this would make searches in the message base more useful since it would bring up more relevant results and less noise... Intersted in feedback... Craig Steiner |
