Hello everyone.

I have just started designing a new project & have just ordered for Philips 89V51rd2 in PLCC44 package.

Now after doing some reading of flashmagic forums I have a few questions.

I find there are problems in programming the chip , how valid is it?

NO Touch required:

I had used flashmagic with a uC supervisor for 89C51RD2BN,but one day I forgot to include my NOTouch code and the chip is now dud not entering into ISP mode.

So Does this mean I don't need a NO TOuch?It's ready for ISP for a certain amount of time after every reset?

Is the boot Loader vector hard coded in V51rd2?

Prahlads post I feel it's better to use a supervisor where I can disable the watch dog. ? any comments on this , Please let me know?


What should I take care of wile using flash magic programming ?

I am unable to load philips site ,so please confirm the hardware requirements

pc<->Max232<->TXd /RXD of RD2

Also I would like to know about code banking and where could it be used and how?If there is an article about it Please let me know ?
