#9467 - RE: What to learn? 8051 or PIC |
Hi S Z,
I think, you expect not really other opinions as "The 8051 is the INDUSTRY STANDARD because its the best" on this forum. Maybe, the PIC is a little cheaper, so it can be used for very small applications, where the 8051 looks oversized. But e.g. the AT89C2051 is also in a small case and not expensive. I think a good impression, which micro should be preferred can you get on comparison of the quality of the forums: AVR: http://www.avr-forum.com/cgi/dcfor...m=AVRForum ACE: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/acex-users/messages/ PIC: http://www.ml-electronics.co.uk/picboard.htm 8051: this forum http://www-us.semiconductors.philips.com/mcu/suppo.../date.html http://www.keil.com/discuss/ So I think you can get the best support only for the 8051.
