THE best way to make mockups of mechanical systems is to use Meccano. There is a huge range of additional bits and pieces - it is now essentially "open source" hardware. SO long as your holes are on 12.7 mm centres you can do anything. There are gears, chains, racks, pinions, bevel gears and all kinds of structural members - the latest official parts from Meccano France include shape memory alloy panels. Steve |
