Dear Raghu,
Question is what kind of distances these line drivers support ? You are talking about RS422 diffrential line Receivers/Drivers. RS422 standard supports upto 4000 feets distance and supports upto 10Mbps baud rate. Baud rate is a function of distance as distance increase baud must be decreased for reliable communication. You must use proper termination resistors at both the ends of your RS422 channel Usually we use 120 ohm resistors. Do remember to read "bullet proof RS485". RS485 and RS422 are simillar standards with RS485 being half duplex and RS422 full duplex. Regards, Prahlad Purohit |
