I think, (Erik can correct me), that the "standard" SFRs are there, but named differently and they are placed at a different address. Although one can object that from the point of view of the programmer this is only a matter of a definition file, but it seems to me, that this is really not necessary and as so, should be avoided in sake of simplicity when moving from clone to clone.

My frustrating experience with the f3xx included such things like doing a search in the datasheet (I could, of course, have read through 200+ pages) for RCAP2 and not finding it. Continuing with oh well, when that is not there, let us do something else. Then after hours of "avoidance coding" you stumble over the RCAP2 with another name. The point is that when nothing match, your experience is worthless --- no, actually it is a hindrance. Erik |
