I would add an intermediate step: After getting it working manually with the terminal, run your code in a simulator such that your code's simulated serial IO goes through the PC's COM: port. Then, if you have problems with your 8051 code, it will be easy to step through it and see what's happening. If you don't have a simulator that allows this, then get one! The Keil simulator certainly does, and others are listed under 'Links'. |
