#97775 - Not only in China Responding to: ???'s previous message |
In many places I travel to, the situation is similar. If you have a work visa in Qatar you are not allowed to leave the country until your employer says so. Occasionally the government has an amnesty for people that have run away from their employer to clean up the paperwork. Most places i visit have heavy security and they take my passport - so I can't simply run away. Although I have not had any physical threats and at no time has it been intimated that I can't leave as most of the people I deal with are from large western construction companies. |
