#97779 - Mr. Karas's Relay Drive Circuit. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Dear Michael,
You cannot drive relays directly from micro port pins due to sink and source currents of micro being very small. [ Sorry for Echo ]. One of the best circuit for relay driving I have ever seen is given below. It was designed and posted by Mr. Michael Karas [ Sad, he has left the forum ] ![]() I have used this circuit in many applications, Relay, Pneumatic Valve Solenoids, Pulse Transformer Drive, For my Industrial Designs I normally use optocoupler 4N35 in between the two Transistors for Galvanic isolation. ![]() Regards, Prahlad Purohit |
