Maybe, but the prolific chips are known to have more problems than ftdi chips (but are cheaper so they are widespread in the usb-com cables). So you have installed the driver from prolific.com.tw site, decreased baudrate (how?) and still no go... I would try more fiddling with the settings (com port number, fifo setting), switch off handshake - both in flip settings and in the windows-setup settings (btw. which win are you using?); then try sending the commands from a file in hyperterminal rather than typing it by hand. Also, try monitoring on the other PC (via an additional cable connected to COM), what does the RD2 actually receive and/or send. Jan Walawek |
