It's not hard to do at all - just a case of the usual hurdle of learning the CAN controller. The hardest part is configuring the baud rate, as each bit time is divided into segments which are divided into time quanta. There should be some online information to help you with the calculations. We have some calculators for this on our web site, but they are Philips only right now.
Also it is very helpful to be able to see the traffic on the CAN bus for debugging. You can spend as much (or as little) as you want for tools to do that. You can email me for recommendations if you want. Don't forget the bus termination as well. Andy |
