#9886 - RE: Problem with 8255 |
Hi all,
Not much else to add, but the 8255 is a very old friend! And I also remember this difference in the reset signal levels - we started our 8085 programs with a 1/2S delay before accessing the I/O, as the '85 had a lower threshold. Also, some of the 8255 modes were a pain to understand. The 8155 (incl RAM & a timer) was a better companion for the 8085 - a single-chip solution in 2 DIL40 packages! Regards, Richard P.S. ADSL is cool! |
